The vision of the Squamish Mountain Festival, SQUMF 2008, is to provide a grass-roots gathering to celebrate the magic of Squamish climbing, bouldering and mountain culture.

The event will highlight Squamish and climbing within the context of clinics, speakers, competitions, international adventure films, volunteer trail maintenance days, and of course, huuuuge raging parties.

SQUMF 2008 is trying to make this a really enviro-friendly festival so try to help out by bringing your own cup, car pooling and keeping the trails clean.

Ed Cooper has accepted the invitation of the Squamish Mountain Festival to present a slide show from his new book, " Soul of the Heights - 50 years of going to the mountains".

Ed will also be introducing a special screening of "In the Shadow of the Chief" and will be available for book signings.
